Account Open With Wrong CIF & Account Name Change : Finacle Solution

Sometime, Account is opened with wrong CIF selection. After account opening we notice that the account name is mismatch with original account holder. Here two command is used for correcting this mistake.
1. HCCA command is used for "Change CIF of A/c"
2. HAALM command is used for "Account Abnormal Limits or Details Maintenance".

DOP AGENT RD BULK LIST PREPARATION PROCEDURE AT AGENT PORTAL

  • Agent Portal can be accessed using the the website https://dopagent.indiapost.gov.in
  • Every MPKBY/PRSS agents will get the usernames and passwords at the time of migration to Fiancle by the DOP IT Chennai.
  • All the accounts linked to a particular agent will be displayed one the agent logons to web portal.
  • Separate lists to be prepared for Cash/DOP Cheque(POSB Cheque) and NON DOP Cheque.
  • The accounts opened before 15th should be paid on or before 15th and the accounts opened after 15th can be paid on or before last day of a month.

Friends..Good News. From this year onwards Postal/Sorting Assistant Exam (PA/SA Exam) will be part of Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam. Department of Post has decided to conduct the exam through SSC and Gazette Notification in this regard was issued on 21 May 2015. Till now, for the last 02 years exam was conducted through a private company called CMC Limited and there were lot of complaints regarding the conduct of examination. Malpractices were detected at many Circles and Re-Exams are now being held in those Circles. In view of candidates it’s a welcome move because now onwards you have to prepare for one less exam every year. SSC CHSL + Postal Assistant Exam Preparation now onwards at one go.

1.       Non migration of agents and Creation of new agent ID in finacle and getting ebanking reference number

Solution: As per migration logic, agents who were not linked with SB account number will not be migrated. Agent IDs (DSA ID – Direct Selling Agent) to be created in Finacle and the DSA ID to be sent to fsihelpdesk for creation of eBanking Reference number. Newly created DSA ID should not have (.) Dots and Spaces.

2.       Creation of MPKBY/SAS/PRS agents in finacle
Solution : Login  as Operator, Invoke HDSAMM menu. Click on Function Add. Enter the mandatory details. Select the appropriate Agent Type (MPB or SAS or PRS) by expanding the TAB. Agent Authority number to be captured in License No. free field.

Govt to raise Bonus ceiling : Financial Express

Several lakhs of workers in the organised sector will benefit as the Narendra Modi government is set to raise the salary threshold for mandatory bonus for workers from Rs 10,000 a month at present to Rs 15,000 and the minimum bounty from an annual Rs 3,500 now to Rs 4,500. The proposal, agreed to by employers’ associations at a recent meeting of an inter-ministerial group, would require Parliament’s approval as the Payments of Bonus Act, 1965, requires to be amended for this purpose.

While the minimum bonus is a legal liability on the firms concerned, whether or not they make a profits, these firms are also required to pay the workers a higher bonus if their “allocable surplus” exceeds the amount payable as minimum bonus, subject to a cap (20%) of the salaries.

  • HSSIM command is used for SI from SB to RD in DOP Finacle
  • Note :- that for giving the standing instructions from TDA accounts(SCSS,MIS and TD) accounts to SB accounts we should not use this menu.
  • For giving the standing instructions for TDA accounts(SCSS,MIS and TD) accounts we have to go for account modification menu and enter the interest credit account as SB account number of the customer and submit and verify in the supervisor.

How to Refund TDS when wrongly deducted (HRFTDS) : Finacle Solution

As and when it is found that TDS is wrongly deducted, following process should be followed to refund TDS:-

Write an error in the Error Book showing detail of account number and amount of TDS wrongly deducted. Go to HRFTDS menu and enter the SCSS account ID in the field” From A/c ID & To A/c ID” and select trantype as Transfer. Cash option should not be used in 
trantype. On clicking GO, the TDS amount deducted will be shown. In the “Refund A/c ID” field, enter the customer's SB a/c if customer has savings account in any CBS post office or if customer wants cash to be paid, enter office account 0340 and pay cash. In the evening, show this amount as TDS Refund in the daily account or cash book.

IndiaPost inks deal to issue 1.5 crore debit cards

MUMBAI: IndiaPost will soon issue debit cards to its 1.5 crore account holders with the Department of Post signing a Rs 30 crore deal with CMS Info System to supply Rupay enabled cards. The Department of Post (DOP) has over 10 crore account holders in India, and has already begun deploying ATMs across the country in aphased manner.

The personalized debit cards for DOP will be issued on the NPCI platform and their usage would initially only be on ATMs installed at DOP branches, as a closed loop environment. The cards can later be used on other ATMs with Rupay affiliation. These cards will initially be of the magstripe variant, with the option of EMV being available to the account holders after a set period of time.

NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC) IS NOT REQUIRED FOR GOVT EMPLOYEES TO OBTAIN PASSPORT

GOOD NEWS

New Delhi: No Objection Certificate (NOC) is not now a mandatory requirement for government employees to get a passport.

To streamline and check the undue delay in getting passports to the government employees, the Ministry of External Affairs has relaxed provisions for issue of passport and asked the government employees to attach the copy of prior intimation letter submitted by the government employees to their controlling authority before applied for passport.

The Ministry of External Affairs has recently issued an Office Memorandum No.VI/401/01/05/2014 making the ‘Prior Intimation Letter’ valid proof like ‘No Objection Certificate (NOC)’ to obtain passport for government employees, public sector undertakings (PSU) employees and autonomous body employees.

Certificates printing (No records fetched) error in DOP Finacle

  1. In DOP we have two types of certificates categories at present they are NSC( National Savings Certificate) and KVP ( Kisan Vikas Patra ) 
  2. In DOP Finacle application after issuing the certificates we have to print the certificates compulsarily in order to deduct the stock in the application. 
  3. If anyone forget to print the certificates then in the Finacle application stock will not be deducted hence make a practise to print the certificates immediately after issuing the certificates in order to eradicate the printing issues. 
  4. For printing of certificates in DOP Finacle application the menu option is HDRP (Deposit Receipt Print). 
  5. When we try print the certificates using the menu HDRP sometimes we get an error as "FER000238-No Records were fetched "

PPF issue in DOP Finacle

 PPF ISSUE IN DOP FINACLE

(i)    Loans against PPF account closure. .

Calculation of interest upto closure date and deduction of the interest amount Invoke CPDTM menu to make Principal repayments

 i) Select the tran type/sub type as  P - Loan Principal Repayment
Enter the amount of loan principal to be repaid and click on submit and verify the same if the amount is above Rs.5,000/-.
ii) Invoke the menu CLPR for calculation of interest
iii) Invoke HACINT menu to calculate loan interest (CEPT IT Team to be contacted for this)
iv) Invoke the menu CPDTM to make Interest repayments
    a) Select the tran type/sub type
    b)) Select the type as I - Loan Interest Repayment
v) Invoke the menu HCAAC to close the loan account

(ii) PPF Claim closure is not getting initiated in teller login with an error “this work class is not permitted”.

 After updating date of death in CIF, closure menu, HCAAC should be invoked only by Supervisor. Same can be verified by another supervisor after system generated withdrawal tran ID is posted and verified. This activity should be performed by Hos only where there are more than one Supervisor. Therefore PPF claim closure is to be done at HO only.(kawal sir – cant this be done at LSG SOs/MDGs. Can this be verified by Postmaster login)

(iii) PPF bank transfer closure is not permitting in teller login.

PPF bank transfer out closure has to be initiated by supervisor and transfer proceedings should be credited to “0322 office account”  with a proper closure reason code as Bank Transfer. This has to be verified by another supervisor. This option should be used by Hos only where there are more than one Supervisor. Therefore transfer of PPF account from post office to Bank can be done at HO only.
